Senior Backend Engineer — Postgres / Node.js / Typescript / GrahpQL

At HR-ON we’re looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer who enjoys building performant backend features and intuitive database structures.
What You’ll Do

Design and build core backend services in Node.js & TypeScript against a Postgres database.

Create and maintain complex database features using RLS, triggers, and PL/pgSQL programming.

Develop GraphQL endpoints that streamline frontend features.

Evolve the platform architecture for resilience, observability, and easy maintenance.

Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps peers to deliver features that add value for our users.
About You
You’re an experienced engineer who:

Writes production-grade Node.js/TypeScript.
-
Is fluent in SQL - from schema design to complex query optimisation.

Has worked on complex Postgres based solutions in the real world.

Uses GitLab (or similar) for version control and automated tests.
-
Has a solution-oriented attitude.
-
Thinks in terms of scalable, maintainable architecture and values knowledge-sharing with teammates.
Bonus Points
-
Experience working with existing code bases.
-
Optionally an interest in doing the odd frontend task in React/Typescript.
-
A fondness for type-safe, declarative coding styles (e.g. fp-inspired TypeScript).
