Press release:
Danish HR tech company challenges US giants with an all-in-one platform
American systems dominate the HR market today. Now, Danish company HR-ON is aiming to shift the balance. With the acquisition of Lyser / Develop Diverse, the company brings AI, compliance, and core HR together in a single platform and sets its sights on becoming a preferred European alternative.
With the ambition of expanding further across Europe, software company HR-ON is now acquiring Lyser and Develop Diverse, two AI-driven platforms built on years of research into bias, recruitment communication, and candidate behaviour data.
“We are bringing together the best of both worlds, enabling us to compete with large US solutions that typically offer some core HR but are heavy to manage, where companies are used to adding niche products on top. With our platform, you get the full package in one place,” says Ali E. Cevik, CEO of HR-ON.
Pil Byriel, CEO of Lyser/Develop Diverse, supports the ambition:
“With the current geopolitical uncertainty in the world, it is clear that data solutions need to be closer to home. We believe we can become the preferred European alternative. Not only because we offer the strongest product on the market, covering everything from attraction to offboarding, but also because of the organisation behind it,” she says.
New demands are putting pressure on HR
As recruitment becomes more complex, organisations must navigate a growing number of legal and regulatory requirements. This includes new rules on pay transparency, anti-discrimination, and increasing expectations around inclusive language.
At the same time, many companies find that existing HR systems are not built to handle these demands. This creates a need for solutions where compliance, data, and recruitment are more closely connected to reduce the risk of fines. This is exactly the need HR-ON aims to address with the acquisition.
